Sherri Gast MS, RN, PRN, AGACNP-BC

Sherri has 32 years of nursing experience in critical care and emergency care. She recently earned her Masters degree in adult gerontology acute care from Texas Women's University. She is currently practicing as an APRN in the home based setting for the Central Texas Veterans Healthcare system as well as a practicing emergency are RN for the Central Texas Ascension Healthcare network.

Her masters project focused on current Sepsis care in the emergency setting. Most recently spotlighted in the Central Texas VA newsletter for providing leadership in exceptional fall prevention strategies. Past recipient of the coveted Nurse of the Year through St. David's network.

Sherri retains active memberships with the ENA, AACN, Texas Nurse Practitioner Association, Texas Nurses Association, American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Association. She endeavors to grow in her leadership role within the ENA, help increase membership within the local chapter and explore the nursing professions influence on healthcare policies.
